    Job Overview:

    As a Sr Data Science Manager, you will take part in forming the strategy of building the next generation of compliance surveillance technology. You will have close relationships with the business stakeholders to get a deep understanding of the challenges and priorities, as well as to be able to educate them on data science methodologies and advantages. You will build and execute a multi-year plan to continuously expand and improve the risk coverage we provide for both trade and electronic communications surveillance. Your plan would include all data science R&D projects, exploration of new tools and methodologies as well as resourcing, educating, developing, and engaging the existing and future group members.

    Our data science group is a global group that extend around the globe. The teams' work includes data extraction, processing, analysis and discovery in our big data environment. The team is constantly working to enhance our existing tools and models as well as to create new features and models, according to our client's needs, requirements, and priorities.

    As a Sr Data Science Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end deliveries, starting from understanding the business requirements, creating research plans, exploring different methods and algorithms, creating measures around new features and models to measure success and stability, documenting, communicating results and delivering models to production.

    Our teams include both junior and senior members, and we value mutual help and involvement in teams' work. You will be expected to nurture a positive culture of learning and collaboration within the group and to establish and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies for data science and for professional development.

    • Build the strategy for improving our surveillance techniques
    • Understand our client's needs and priorities and transform them into data science deliverables
    • Manage global teams around the globes and be accountable for their entire R&D process
    • Break apart problems, providing insight into your recommendations and findings to both technical and non-technical partners
    • Lead and mentor teams of data scientists and help the teams to grow and mature professionally
    • Explore cutting edge technologies that may fit our clients' challenges
    • Build and improve best practices for data science research and development
    • Create methodologies to measure success and stability of new features and models in production
    • Develop an in depth understanding of our data, our models, and goals
    • Collaborate within the teams and with engineering, BI and product global teams
    • Manage documentation processes including business objectives, data gathering and processes, leading approaches, final algorithm, and detailed set of results and analytical metrics

    • 8+ years of experience working in the analytics field
    • 5+ years in management roles
    • 5+ years' professional data science experience
    • 5+ years' experience with SQL or related query language
    • 5+ years' experience coding in python for data science related projects
    • 5+ years' experience in big data systems (Hadoop, Spark, Hive)
    • Strong communications skills and leadership skills
    • Ability to translate business objectives into actionable analysis
    • Deep knowledge of probability, statistical and machine learning models with proven track record in choosing, modifying and applying advanced algorithms to address practical problems
    • Strong understanding of statistics (hypothesis testing, regressions, etc.)
    • Proven experience in running end-to-end research POCs from ideas to customer impact solutions including the design, execution, analysis and conclusions of your research, methodologies and outcomes.

    • Bachelors Degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Math, or equivalent work experience
